2009 was another great season.  The weather was nice and cool but the fishing was hot.  We had a lot of days where 10-12 Big Salmon were landed! 

We had a ton of fun and made alot of new friends.  We had a bunch of little ones on board this season and they had a blast landing fish.

With the right tactics and equipment even the kids can land some big ones!

The No Promises boat and crew has placed in several top Trout and Salmon Fishing tournaments in the last few years. In 2008 when pre-fishing for the Oswego ProAm Dave landed a 28 pound King salmon that placed the boat 6th in the summer LOC Derby.

However, everything was not roses that day.  Do to 8’ waves the night before the we did not make the run to Oswego and did not enter into the captains challenge. A three fish shoot out between participating boats. The winning Boat had 37 pounds of fish plus a ten point bonus per fish for a total of 67 points. The No Promises boat had the above 28 pound fish plus two other salmon right at 20 pounds each. That would have gave us a total of 97 and we would have won $1800.00

In the fall LOC Derby we once again put somebody on the board with a King but the weight did not hold up till the end. Andrea landed this impressive king.

Later that week on a during a charter the wire rod smoked out past 675 feet and after a long battle the monster of the year came in the boat.

The customers were not signed up for the Derby this year but next year for sure. The King weighed 31.4 pounds on the LOC Derby scale. Would have been good for first place in the youth division or about tenth in the over all.

In 2007 the No Promises Crew landed on the first day a nice 29+lb King Salmon and had our name at the top of the leader board for quite awhile. We ended up Tenth in the Fall LOC Derby. We also had second salmon on the leader board for a week but it slid off , Sorry Walt.

In 2006 in the National Lake Trout Derby on Seneca Lake we won First in the Rainbow division and placed Fifth in the Brown Trout division. Congradulations Roy and Fran in landing those fish on the No Promises Boat. Guys Lets not think about the Grand Prize 15-17lb lake trout we lost that was in and out of the net. !#&*@

When fishing in Finger Lakes Trollers Association tournaments in 2006 we won Three of the Nine Fishing Tournaments that year. More than any other crew that season. We also won the largest fish of the year award with 13+ pound Lake trout caught on Canandaiqua Lake in that April. In 2005 Red Cross Tournament on Cayuga Lake we won first place in the Rainbow trout division and placed second in the Landlock Salmon division.
